OK, so another several months has gone by and at least I can say that I have done more sewing and quilting than I have blogging. I have friends and family that have recently gotten into facebook and are encouraging me to try it, but I think I am more of a control freak than that, so I think a blog might be the way to go.
I did finish and hang and Santa filled the Christmas stockings, and the advent calendar! Though we were away from the 15th to the 24th at Disney World, so the advent calendar was not the big craze I hoped for. And my dear Charlotte asked if next year we could get one of those cheap cardboard ones with the crappy chocolate in it... she didn't quite use those descriptors, but you get the idea! And for sure, I did pick them up on clearance and we will certainly have the cardboard ones next year in addition to the nice one I quilted!
And, I did manage to make both of the kids new sweatshirts with great appliques on them! OK, so I bought the appliques on clearance at Joanne's for $1.80 apiece, but they were those big 10" ones and now Charlotte has a great flower with decorative cuffs and bottom and neck and Zach has a "dumpy truck." And they are finished!!
So my goal is to put up some pics... I guess I'd have to take them first... be a more regular poster, and generally make this more interesting! Right now, I'm talking to myself, but eventually when it gets interesting, I'll invite you all to come and visit! One step at a time... I still have to finish, OK start, the school yearbook... yup, I'm a glutton... for punishment that is!!
