Resolutions?
So, I've been making resolutions... to make more things for my kids.. I have the technology, the stuff and the skills. I realized that I have been saying "I could make this" and instead I have to spend more time making it! I don't want to look back in 20 years and wish I had. So I managed to make them each a new Halloween shirt, Zach has a fuzzy fringe embroidered spider! And Charlotte has a crystal embellished spider's web! I finished Zach's black Kitty Cat costume for halloween and I managed to put together and quilt an Advent Calendar-- I still have to put the binding on, but it is only Ocotober! I also have quilted the fronts of 2 giant Christmas stockings... one fro each of them! AT some point, perhaps I will get some pictures up, but alas, I am getting some important things done! On to making things for them and with them. THey have very definite ideas about fabrics and design... and I take direction well. Charlotte and I finally finished her "Mom I ripped my jeans so can we cut them up and make them into a skirt" skirt. It has brought me peace and happiness in these trying times. Onward...
Update
Well, I guess i haven't been very good about blogging... all good intentions... my road is thoroughly paved. I any case, we made around $1000 with the quilt and it all went to the NICU. In total we raised over $11,000 with our Cruzin' For Cory Team. From meager beginnings... we did quite well. Surpassed our expectations! We had a great time at the walk and were 104 walkers strong, including Cory , our team captain! We will follow that boy anywhere!
